Gathering
This week, Duane Yoder, pastor at Lindale Mennonite Church spoke to us in Gathering about Haiti. He shared slides and stories about an orphanage and school that he and other Lindale members have been involved with for a number of years. As you know our students are collecting items for Haiti; hearing these stories and seeing the faces of children in Haiti makes our project even more meaningful.
Next week, Herman Via, the head chef at Gemeinshaft, will share stories about his life growing up as an African American man. Parents are welcome to join us Wednesday mornings from 8:50 – 9:10.

Students and teachers are invited to come to school dressed as a character from a favorite book. Will it be Flat Stanley, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Tom Sawyer, or the very grouchy ladybug? It will be fun to see all the different costumes! No scary or violent characters please.
Box Tops Box Tops for Education are due soon. Please send them in Monday or Tuesday of next week so we can get credit for them this school year.
