You should have received a progress report for your child in his/her backpack yesterday. Many of you have signed up for conferences next week; if you still want to schedule a conference, contact your child’s teacher. The classroom teachers will be traveling to Kidron, Ohio today and visiting Central Christian School tomorrow. Central is a sister Mennonite school, PreK-12. This will be a great way for us to learn from other educators and to experience how another K-12 school carries out its mission and curriculum in a unique way. The Bowl of Good evening is happening this coming Monday, April 19th from 4:30 – 7:00. You and your friends and family are invited to come to the restaurant located at 831 Mt. Clinton Pike between the hours of 4:30pm and 7:00pm; there will be a special Haitian flavor to your visit. You may choose from their regular menu or choose a meal specifically Haitian for your dinner. Students can barter in the “Market Place” for a "take home meal", one that your family can make together. Bowl of Good will donate a portion of the proceeds from the meals purchase to EMES. We hope you can attend. We are in the last stages of completing our playground! Volunteers Needed: EMES is scheduled to get a truck load of mulch on Friday morning, April 23 to fill in our new playground. (Unfortunately they will not deliver on Saturdays.) Volunteers are needed to help spread the mulch and bring rakes and shovels. We will not know the exact time until the driver calls us the day before but we can send out an email as soon as we know. There is a teeter totter and a climbing dome that need assembling, which could be done at any time. Please let Maria Archer (
